Some-but not all-jobs and licenses restrict eligibility based on criminal records. These resources can help identify whether an individual is barred from a certain job or license because of a criminal record, and what, if any, remedies exist to overcome the bar.

If an individual wants to apply for an occupational license but is barred based on his or her criminal history, he or she can apply for a Certificate of Relief from Disabilities or Certificate of Good Conduct to overcome the automatic bar. For more information see the Certificates of Rehabilitation folder.

Please Note: Some resources are available to Reentry Net/NY members only. Don't forget to log-in, or Join This Area to become a member.
