Description of the MDO (Modify Department of Social Services Order) program initiated by the Human Resources Administration.

The program is for non-custodial parents whose children are currently receiving or formerly received cash assistance. It affords low-income people (those earning at or below $14,620) an opportunity to meet with a child support worker at the Office of Child Support Enforcement Customer Service Walk-In Center and enter into a stipulation agreement to modify their DSS order to reflect their actual income. Individuals who qualify and participate do not have to return to Family Court.
