Report by Pew Center on the States finds that America's national recidivism rate continues to be high, with more than four in 10 offenders returned to state prison within three years of their release. The report also notes that while the overall figures are discouraging, several states have made significant progress in reducing recidivism through a variety of evidence-based strategies.
