The Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) establishes, priorities, and objectives for the Nation's drug control programs. Its goals are to reduce illicit drug use, manufacturing and trafficking, drug-related crime & violence, and drug-related health consequences. ONDCP also runs the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) leads the Nation in bringing the power of science to bear on drug abuse and addiction through research and legislation. For more information about general substance abuse, the National Clearinghouse for Alchohol and Drug Information is a one-stop resource for information about substance abuse prevention and addiction treatment.
