Citizens Against Recidivism is pleased to share an article authored by executive director Mika'il DeVeaux entitled The Trauma of the Incarceration Experience that has recently been published in the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review (as 48 Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review Rev. p. 257). The article argues that the experience of incarceration is traumatic, offers discussion and suggestions on why it is important from a public safety point of view to take note of this issue.
