The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC)  has produced a "Survivor's Manual," which is a compilation of letters and advice from people who have done long terms in the bing/solitary confinement written for people who are currently being held in isolation.  In addition to letters of advice, there are also motivational letters, political context, and art produced by people who are being held or have been held in isolation.
