Immigrants can be deported for having certain criminal convictions. If you have been convicted of a crime OR if you have admitted to the elements of a crime, check with a knowledgeable immigration advocate to learn how the crime affects your immigration status. Even if it was a misdemeanor, and/or even if you only served probation, the criminal conviction may make you deportable.
