Good Afternoon!

On Tuesday, April 24th at 6pm in our reception lobby. The Organizing Project will be continuing our work with a Popular Education Series. We are very excited to have our very own Shannon Cumberbatch and Erin Miles Cloud leading the discussion on the very important and controversial topic of COLORISM.

Colorism is a global cultural practice that favors a particular color of skin that increases internalized oppression and continues to perpetuate the colonizer mentality. This workshop will assist in recognizing the difference between Racism, Discrimination, and Colorism.  We will further answer and discuss in a safe and respectful space-What is Colorism? Where did it come from? How does it affect our lives? How doe it affect our work?

Sounds complicated...Let's talk about it and grow in understanding and self-love.

Please find attached a flyer. Feel free to share it with your networks and invite others! I hope to see you all there in support and Solidarity!
