John Jay College Latin American and Latino/a Studies Department will be hosting an event entitled "Behind Bars: Latinos/as in Prison" on Tuesday, May 6 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at John Jay College of Criminal Justice (899 10th Avenue, between 58th and 59th Streets, Room 630).
The event will launch the journal Latino Studies in New York City, and will feature a panel discussion and reception with the authors of the journal special issue focused on Latino/a incarceration.
