The Division of Criminal Justice Servcies (DCJS) is the official repository of criminal history information for New York State. Under New York State law, every individual is entitled to see all criminal history information maintained by DCJS that pertains to him or her. This folder has information on obtaining and reading New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) rap sheets, including a link to the DCJS website and flowcharts that help explain the process DCJS uses for recording information as an individual's case proceeds through the criminal justice and court system.
