The second part of this two part training, will cover homeless families' rights and obligations in shelter, including the requirement for families to pay rent. We will also cover the conditions in shelter, the different types of shelters (overnights, cluster sites, hotels, tier II s and next step shelters) and the rules governing when a family is assigned to or transferred to a particular type of shelter. There will be a discussion of homelessness-related public benefits and foster care issues related to homelessness. Finally we will give a brief description of the Advantage permanent housing programs. Cost of workshoop is $40.00.
